COVID Policy and Promises
The safety of our staff and clients is our priority. In order to provide safe travel, our company has put COVID Guidelines in places. In the regions that we operate, we believe that the minimum local guidelines are not always sufficient to ensure safe tours. For this reason, we follow the Dutch RIVM COVID-19 Guidelines protocols. During our tours the following measures are in place:
- We have our own company COVID Guidelines that reflects EU recommendations/protocols.
- Keep distance (1,5 Meter when possible)
- Our staff members wear masks, and we advise our clients to wear masks when possible.
- All our vehicles have Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer.
- Vehicles are cleaned on a daily basis.
- We only select Hotels/Accommodations that have COVID-19 measures in place and are cleaned regularly. Note that in some remoted areas where is limited choice in accommodation, we need to be more flexible.
Free Cancellation and Rebooking of all our Tours.
We appreciate and value our guests who despite the ongoing pandemic still book with us. To guarantee flexibility, we offer free cancellation and rebooking for all tours with a departure until January 2022. We can retain your deposit until further notice. Just let us know when you’re ready.
Terms & Conditions
The following booking conditions form the basis of your contract with Somaliland Travel Agency (“we”, “us” and “our”). Please read them carefully as they set out our respective rights and obligations. By asking us to confirm your booking, we are entitled to assume that you have had the opportunity to read and have read these booking conditions and agree to them.
These booking conditions only apply to the tours which you book directly with us and within the previous mentioned time period. The conditions do not apply for bookings that you have done with third parties (such as agencies, tour operators) for whom we provide tour services for in certain regions. In these cases, the contract between you and the third party will be leading as we don’t have a direct contract with you.
We always advice to book in advance. For confirmation of the tours, we require a deposit payment in advance. This can be done via a transfer to our Dutch Business Bank account which has a USD and EURO account. The remaining can be paid upon arrival in cash USD. However, you can choose to pay the full amount in advance via bank transfer. We will always send the invoice with all the banking details. IMPORTANT: All wiring fees need to be paid by the customer. Somaliland Travel Agency cannot be held responsible for the failure of booking due to delay in payment. Other options such as Creditcard and PayPal might be possible upon request by the customer with an extra fee.
Cancellation Policy & Changes
If you wish to cancel your booking, the following conditions apply. A deposit payment has to be made to Somaliland Travel Agency 30 days before the scheduled departure/beginning of the Tour. Cancellation requests must be submitted to us by e-mail. We regret that we are in general unable to issue a full refund for cancellations. The cancellation fee generally depends on the length of notice and type of booking.
The itinerary can be changed during the tour by the customer. There will be a new calculation based on the changes of the itinerary. Please contact us as soon as possible if you must change or cancel your travel plans.
Note that under certain circumstance we might need to change the program due to: Road conditions, safety, adverse weather conditions, civil war, strike, cancellation or delay of domestic flights, high-level government meeting.
In the case where Somaliland Travel Agency does not provide one of the services mentioned in the program, we will provide a refund for the services not rendered, except in the following cases: 1) Cases of force majeure, adverse weather conditions, cancellation or delay of domestic flights, civil war, strike, road conditions, high-level government meeting. 2) Change in Itinerary by Somaliland Travel Agency if we judge that the context endangers the safety of the customer, environment and staff.
Domestic and International Flights
A delay or cancellation of scheduled flights is not the responsibility of Somaliland Travel Agency. We will, however, provide all the necessary assistance to our customers in such circumstances. All airfares are subject to availability at time of booking. Please also note that fares are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed until purchased.
